Welcome to the W1AEC Repeater!

This feed broadcasts the audio of the W1AEC 147.000 MHz Dartmouth, Massachusetts 2-meter amateur (ham) radio repeater.

This repeater is sponsored by the Southeastern Massachusetts Amateur Radio Association (SEMARA).  It transmits 100-watts from a 180-foot communications tower at the rear of the club's property.  The coverage footprint is very decent for base and mobile stations heading north toward Boston and from Rhode Island to Cape Cod.  The audio is fed directly from the controller at the repeater site for the best possible quality.  Please note that Broadcastify does limit the sample-rate and bit-rate, however.  This MP3 live stream may also be 30-45 seconds behind real-time.

This is a full-service repeater that is open to all licensed ham radio operators.  A majority of the time, it is used for casual conversations.  However in times of emergency, it is a vital communications hub for the area.  Does this feed peak your interest in becoming a ham radio operator?  Please note that the SEMARA club does offer volunteer examination (VE) sessions monthly.  They are generally held on the first Saturday of each month at 9:00 AM.  More information and resources are available on the website's EXAMS section.
