Morning Lindsay,
That is sooo awesome!
Our Group Near Space Sciences (NSS) Have been doing HIGH altitude
Balloon experiments since the 1980's.
Here is an You-Tube example of a flight we did for several hundred Boy
Scouts.

This next flight is #60 for us. OK Knowing what Broadcastify does, I
would assume you know what repeaters do.
How from their usually high altitude on tall towers and on top of hills
their coverage is great.
Now Imagine what coverage a repeater would have from 100,000 feet above
the ground.
And that is what this Mission #60 is! A Repeater!
All by itself this would typically have coverage of 400 to 450 miles
around the repeater.
If that isn't crazy enough, we are attempting to link with a second
balloon also.
In theory two stations almost 1600 miles apart might be able to
communicate to each other.
We hope to stream the audio from the balloon(s)
Now I hope you are making an exception for this special mission for us.
One of your rules I see is the thing about the stream being on and
running 24/7.
That for sure is not going to be needed or very interesting.
From Now and until the flight happens (Sometime in September)
We may test the system to make sure all is good, for a short test like
ten minutes or so.
so for 99% of the time there will be no audio to stream.
Then on Flight day, we would start the stream say at 8 AM CDT and it
would run
for as long as the mission is active. The flight itself lasts about 2
to 3 hours.
Then there is the Chase & Recovery aspect. That could be only a hour, to
as long as days.
All depending on where it lands.
The audio will allow people who are out of the area and can't hear the
repeater directly,
and for those that don't have the needed equipment to hear it either.
So does all this work for you? I hope you say YES!
And if YES what is our Next Step to get the stream running and tested
and of course the web page
finished.
Now, I don't know if you want credit for the Audio stream? or keep it a
secret.
We can make the Listen to the balloon button on the web page say Audio
stream provided by Broadcastify if you like?
So what do you think? And if Yes, whats our next Step?
