Monitored Radio Resources
-
HAN-GVT ("Government")

HAN-ECC1 ("ECC 1")
The primary channel for the Hanover County Public Safety Emergency Communications Department. It is used during 911 public service events and other related activities allowing staff in the field to contact the ECC and manage related tasks. -
HANCW1 – HANCW5 ("Countywide 1-5")
These countywide talkgroups are programmed into all county radio subscribers, supporting interoperability between diverse agencies—such as the Sheriff's Office and School Transportation—during countywide events. -
HAN-PSTAC1 – HAN-PSTAC5 ("Public Safety Tac 1-5")
Found on all public safety radios, these channels facilitate communication between agencies like Hanover Fire-EMS and the Hanover Sheriff’s Office. -
RCR-T1 – RCR-T5 ("RCR Tac 1-5")
Standing for "Richmond Capital Region," these channels are used when incidents involve multiple agencies from the region. They ensure interoperable communications during events within the Hanover County trunked radio system and may eventually replace legacy regionwide talkgroups as systems transition to the new RCR P25 system.
