This is a broadcast of the K6POU 2m Amateur Radio repeater output frequency of 145.330 in Contra Costa County, CA. From atop Mt. Diablo, the repeater has a handheld radio range of about 325 miles ideally. It is the busiest ham repeater in Northern California.

Mt. Diablo is located at coordinates 37.881, -121.914 and is east of Walnut Creek and south of Clayton. The peak is at 3849 feet. It is a California Sate Park. There are many radio towers to visit while up there, you may even encounter other hams working the world.

The staff use the feed to remind users to mindful of others and obey regulations and to gather traffic publicity to increase our user community.

The users' many purposes for the feed include checking their broadcast quality and ranging, monitoring traffic when away or otherwise out-of-range. We have had an average of over 12hrs a day TX time recently. The system is PRIVATE and OPEN to all licensed HAMs.

Thank you, 73...Enjoy.

I was forwarded this and I like it:

The radio amateur is…

CONSIDERATE… The Licensee-Operator never knowingly operates in such a way as to lessen the pleasure of
other individuals. This includes language and or content not within general public broadcast standards.

LOYAL… The Licensee-Operator offers loyalty, encouragement and support to other amateurs, local clubs,
the IARU Radio Society in one's country, through which Amateur Radio in one's country is represented
nationally and internationally.

PROGRESSIVE… The Licensee-Operator keeps their station up to date. It is well-built and efficient. The
Licensee-Operator's own operating practice is above reproach.

FRIENDLY… The Licensee-Operator in dealing with others; operates slowly and patiently when requested;
offers friendly advice and counsel to the beginner; kind assistance, cooperation and consideration for
the interests of others. These are the marks of the amateur spirit.

BALANCED… Amateur Radio is a hobby, never interfering with one's duties owed to family & fellowship, job,
school or community.

PATRIOTIC… The Licensee-Operator's station and skills are always ready for service to country and community.
