The NS D&H South Line is a 40 mph, 267 mile long single track mainline running between Schenectady, NY and C.P. Kase (Sunbury, PA). The line traverses numerous grades and includes 10 Signalled sidings and numerous DCS/Handline Sidings over the route. There are also numerous online industries served by various locals 7 days per week. The line see's on average 8-14 trains per day. Trains on this line are operated by Norfolk Southern and include just about every commodity from grain, general freight, coal, automotive, and intermodal.
Channel Monitored: CP Sunbury Subdivision, Road Channel 91 161.475MHz Location: Bear Creek, PA 2100Ft Above Sea Level (Location hears the entire line from CP Kase to Binghamton and Beyond) Broadcast Equipment: Motorola Quantar Into DELL Optiplex 755 Running Windows 7 Professional into an APC Pro 1000 UPS for backup and Generac site generator. System will run 24/7 NO Down Time except for computer updates. This feed will support the entire line which includes Susquehanna, Wyoming, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Columbia, Montour,and Norththumberland counties.
