  • "Box up" is typically called out when a "10-96" is issued for a working structure fire. The dispatcher will announce "Refer to box _____ for move-ups which will bring the existing companies towards the center of the City.

Schedule

  • 0800: Start of Shift and any possible announcements
  • 0830: Radio testing of apparatus as well as any other(s) who needs to test portables, base, etc
  • 1300: Dispatch Test saying "Testing 1.....2.....3"
  • 1700: Dispatch Test and end of shift for the non-24-hour personnel
  • 2200: Evening base radio check for each station
